Following on from the successful Belloc supper, that was held last year, the Worthing Downlanders (www.worthingdownlanders.org.uk) are holding another supper this year on Friday the 27th of July (Belloc's birthday) at 7.30 PM. This will be an evening of 'live' culture: namely, prose, poetry, beer and song. In other words a sort of Sussex Burns Night. About forty members attended, last year, and a good time was had by all. The event will be held at the Beechwood Hotel in Worthing. I would imagine that because it is being held on a Friday there will be a larger attendance this time around.
